ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy, is a science-backed, evidence supported, therapy approach utilized primarily with those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. ABA therapy can support a decrease in behaviors that interfere with one’s day-to-day living such as prolonged tantrums, aggressions, destruction, avoidance…etc. and work to develop other adaptive alternatives such as functional communication, social skills, frustration tolerance, and independent daily living skills.

    • Ages we service: 2 years old and up
    • Diagnosis: Our clinicians have combined years of experience working with those of varying diagnoses. However, within the state of North Carolina, those referred to ABA Therapy are required to have a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We do service those with comorbidities to ASD.

 Parent/Guardian Coordination

Parent Coordination is a crucial part to ABA. Parent Coordination occurs when the parent/guardian meets with the BCBA at least once per month. During these meetings, treatment planning and progress is reviewed. Moreover, parents/guardians of the child in therapy are taught how to implement certain aspects of programming into other environments such as their home to ensure the child’s skill set generalizes and is maintained long term. This component to treatment typically helps to ensure improved quality of life for the family.
